Spirit of the Volcanoes is my project, the fruit of many years of experience. 
My name is Salvatore Musumeci and I am a sociologist, guide and passionate traveler. I have had the privilege of visiting many countries in the world. I’m Sicilian, a lover of my country in spite of or because of its contrasts, AIGAE guide (Italian Association for Professional Nature and Walking Guides), tourist guide ( registered in the official list of the Community of Castile and León ) and photographer. My aim is to show you my land in a simple calm way without any standard or off-the-shelf programmes, with warmth and attention to people and without hiding its contradictions. I have published in Italy a Guidebook about the best trails of Mount Etna and the Aeolian Islands, including the volcanoes, which are an important part of my life. My journey as a guide began about ten years ago, after several years of working in a multinational company, which I left to devote myself to what in truth I am most passionate about. During this time I have worked with people from more than ten countries. I speak English, Spanish and Italian and right now I live between Barcelona and Sicily. I work in collaboration with many people who contribute to the experience of travelling through their work in restaurants, hotels and other tourism related businesses … For some specific projects, I have the support of experts in different areas, many of whom I have known for years.
