The Sicilian Baroque is the pure expression of Sicilian personality and that is why it has developed in such a spectacular way. John J. Ide (Royal Institute of British Architects 1958) wrote “Noto is the perfect city” but the cities of Siracusa, Ragusa and Catania also create the backdrop to this expression of Sicilian personality through their fine noble and religious buildings. We offer two new programmes through which we will give you the opportunity to discover the provinces where Baroque architecture developed from the 17th century.
